Age and licence
Twenty-one years old, and a licence held for at least two years. The original licence is shown at pick-up, along with an ID.
Young driver surcharge
From twenty-one to twenty-four, eight euros a day, capped at eighty euros for the rental. The surcharge appears in the summary as soon as you give your age, and it applies to an additional driver under twenty-five too.
Security deposit
Nine hundred euros, as a card hold in the main driver's name. Nothing is charged: the hold is released when the vehicle comes back.
Excess
Nine hundred euros in case of damage. The excess waiver, at twelve euros a day, brings it down to one hundred and fifty.
Fuel
Full to full. The car leaves with a full tank and comes back full; the nearest station to the agency is four hundred metres away.
Mileage
Unlimited, on every category. The loop around Basse-Terre is one hundred and forty kilometres, and nobody is counting.
